The official release date of Samsung Galaxy S8

As mentioned earlier, Samsung has announced that Galaxy S8 would officially be released on 26th of February in Barcelona. However, you will have to wait one more month for the device to be launched in New York. During the past few years, Samsung announced their latest devices on the end of Feb Mobile World Congress, but this year they would take a little extra time. The Samsung Galaxy S8 would be available for sale from 21st of April.

How the new smartphone would look like?

As per the leaks and rumors, we can predict the latest flagship device to be a massive one. In other words, Samsung is looking forward to release this smartphone to the market in two different sizes, one with a 5.8inch display and the other with a 6.2 inch display. In addition, this smartphone would come out with an impressive 83 percent screen to body ratio. The super AMOLED display will be larger than that of Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 specs

The specs of Samsung Galaxy S8 have also been leaked and they seem to be impressive. It would become one of the fastest and most powerful devices after the release. In fact, it would become the first smartphone to run on the VR capable and fast, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. Samsung has ordered all the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipsets and LG will have to move ahead with the Snapdragon 810 chipset when manufacturing their latest smartphone. This indicates that Samsung is looking forward to go big with the Galaxy S8.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will be 11% faster when compared to the Samsung Galaxy S7. It would come along with 23% more graphic processing power as well. 4GB of RAM would also be introduced to this smartphone.

A lot of Samsung users were complaining about the poor battery life of the Galaxy smartphones. Samsung has paid special attention towards it as well and the Samsung Galaxy S8 would come up with a 3000mAh battery. It would be 20% more energy efficient as well. However, the 6.2 inch device is expected to be provided with a 3500mAh battery.

It seems like Samsung has not brought any major improvements to the camera of the Galaxy S8. As a result, you can expect the same 12MP rear camera and the 8MP front camera in it. However, few software improvements have been introduced to enhance the performance of the camera.

As you can see, Samsung has expanded the display size and specs of the Galaxy S8, while keeping most of the other features slightly unchanged. However, it would be marked at a steep price tag and people will have to spend a considerable amount of money in order to purchase the device.
